You have called me higher- Phase 2.0: Swaziland

“I could just sit,
I could just sit and wait for all Your goodness,
hope to feel Your presence
And I could just stay,
I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel You,
Hope to feel something again
And I could hold on
I could hold on to who I am and never let You
Change me from the inside
And I could be safe
I could be safe here in Your arms and never leave home
Never let these walls down
But You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord… Where You lead me Lord…”

-‘You Have Called Me Higher’ by All Sons & Daughters

There is a reason I typed the whole first part of that song: I want you to read every verse and think about how it applies to your life, what it means in your current situation. Read it and then read it again.

If I heard that song about 5 months ago, my only reaction would be “Wow, what a cool song”, but now it brings back memories and truth and it remind me that I can never sit at the same place for too long, I should constantly be craving for more. Honestly, since the Swaziland Outreach 2014 I have been.

The outreach wasn’t just an experience with great memories, amazing time with God and wonderful new friends; it was an experience that CHANGED MY LIFE! My whole being changed, my whole way of thinking, nothing will ever be the same. Why? Because I had a taste of what the real God tastes like and all of the sudden there is a raging hunger and thirst for more of Him that is taking over.

I had many encounters with the Holy Spirit before and over the years I came to know God in such a great way, but I was always looking for something big. I always waited for Him to talk to me in a huge miraculous way and if that didn’t happen I felt like it was my fault and it can only be fixed by going to church 4 times a week. Little did I realize that He was literally there with me every single day. I knew it, because the Bible tells me so, but I didn’t truly feel it… Not until Swazi.

Never before had I felt God’s presence 24/7 in every single thing I do, whether it’s peeling potatoes, sleeping on rocks, chewing on a piece of sugarcane or cleaning the toilet. He was there ALWAYS. In every meal we had, in every prayer that was said, in every piece of burning sugarcane, in every sunset – He was there.

I saw people getting healed right in front of my eyes; I received amazing prophecies, not only for myself, but for others. I heard dozens pray in tongues and felt the Holy Spirit in such a wonderful way during every prayer walk and prayer hour – it was all Him, but after that week I realized  that He can also be felt in smaller things.

We don’t need to do amazing things or wait for miracles to happen before we can feel His presence. We can feel Him (ALWAYS), as long as we focus on stepping right into His footsteps and living for Him in everything we do. Sooner or later you’ll start seeing small gifts He leaves for you every day: a smile, a sunset, a meal… No matter how small, all great things come from the Lord. (James 1:17)

You don’t have to experience miraculous things to have Him in your life. YOU are a miracle and the fact that He LOVES YOU is a miracle, all you have to do now is TRUST IN THE LORD (Proverbs 3:5) fully and keep moving forward.

“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” ~Will Rogers

Start moving forward in Faith and you too will experience Him 24/7 and have your eyes opened in more ways than you thought humanly possible. You will start seeing Him in everything you do and realize that every decision you make isn’t “Yes” or “No”… It’s “World” or “God”?

Matt5:6- “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled”.
